Flexible workflow design

Modeling concepts

Master data maintenance processes are often complex and not linear. To optimize, lead time workflow steps can be defined and handled as sequential, parallel or conditional steps. This way ORSOFT MDW provides a multitude of modeling options for workflows and is able to cover mostly all typical requirements of workflows already in the standard solution. Workflow steps can be qualified with special conditions, so that such steps will be activated only in cases when these specific predefined events occur. The skipping of steps, process loops or branches integrated into a process are additional means to make workflow modeling maximally flexible.

Templates/References

Existing master data objects can be used as a template/reference for the creation of new master data objects. Specific search-dialogs within ORSOFT Master Data Workflow support the identification of suitable reference-objects. By using quality-assured templates the overall data quality can be substantially improved and the duration of the data maintenance process can be reduced, as many field values are already filled in automatically. To avoid wrong or undesired input by copying values, every single field can be configured as relevant for copy or not.
